Farm In A Box^™ - Little Tokyo

The Earth Solutions Farm In A Box^™ Little Tokyo is a self contained Aquaponics system which allows you to grow organic fish and vegetables conveniently and efficiently at home.

The 'Little Tokyo"" is sleek and space efficient, and features a 10 gallon glass aquarium for visual enjoyment of the fish. This is one of our smallest systems, which makes it perfect for your home, office, or classroom. Little Tokyo will enable you to grow your own herbs, fruits and veggies outside on your porch, in your yard, courtyard, or greenhouse, as well inside you house or apartment! Inside, place your Little Tokyo in front of a window or under gardening lights.

Are you an educator? When you bring Little Tokyo to your school, you provide teachers and students with hands on sustainability, biology, and earth science education. Create a rotation schedule for one or more Little Tokyo units in your school, and provide this unforgettable learning experience to as many students as possible. What’s Included? This system includes a rubber lined garden bed, and a simplified, patented ebb and flow drainage system that includes a water pump, timer, valves, and hoses. Clear instructions show you how to easily setup you’re your Little Tokyo. The plant bed fits snugly onto its frame which sets upon one of three appropriately sized Aqueon glass tanks. The water pump and timer (included) circulate water from the fish tank to the plant bed above; the ebb and flow action automatically continues day and night, aerating the water and keeping the eco-system in balance. You will also receive fish and plant care guidelines which will help you get to a successful and rewarding start

What do I need to Supply? You are responsible for securing the tank that best meets you needs, most pleasing rocks, fish, fish food, and seedlings or plants. You can pick up your tank, fish and fish food in one trip to your local the Aqueon store. For the Little Tokyo the tank must be 20 inches long and 10 inches wide. The height may vary. Aqueon makes a 10 gallon tank with these dimensions. We recommend using local sources for fish, plants, and gravel (for the plant bed).  For gravel we suggest you find river or granite pebbles, lava stone, permatill or hydroton.

Note:  This model includes a 12"" x 20"" plant bed and comes with a 10 gallon Glass Fish tank.  It includes an Ebb and Flow Trickle Value, Hoses, a 160 GPH Submersible Pump, 15 minute Interval Dual Outlet Timer, Setup Instructions and Casters.  The bed is made from FSC Certified Sustainably Harvested Poplar Wood, Birch panels or both.  The bed is lined with EPDM Rubber.
