This is the original 'Farm in a Box'. It was built as a quick remedy to getting up and running with aquaponics this spring -09 in Atlanta. When started, it was a new passion realized, a self learning opportunity and a hit with everyone who saw it.

There was a great deal of media attenton to this and to smaller concepts produced. That's great news; not for any one, but for all as the movement towards aquaponic gardening is key for obtaining food and water resource independence. Learning these methods will go a long way towards alleviating stress and creating a sense of greater security. Food and water have a way of providing us those comforts.

While this prototype is rather crude, actual Earth Solutions beds and tanks are built under the eye of a master craftsman, using FSC Certified dypress and or lighter, less expensive panel woods. Durability improves when sealed with linseed oil or paint. They follow protocol for balance and ratios; to improve performance Earth Solutions will launch an educational website with news, videos, articles and forums to share ideas and answer questions.

From an agriculuture standpoint, aquaponics provide intensive gardening that will support many farm and CSA program. Advantages to aquaponics are many:
