Pendant, Flower of Life – Sterling SilverThe labyrinth is a means and method of fostering spiritual balance. To
course its path by foot or finger enhances psychological, emotional and
physical well being. It is a path that provides many twists and turns, but
no dead ends, as we engage ourselves in life’s spiritual journey. With its
origins still a mystery, labyrinths have been built in Egypt, India, Peru,
Iceland, Arizona and Sumatra as early as 2000 BCE. The 4-quadrant labyrinth
is found in Chartres Cathedral in France. Notably, the Episcopal Church
relates that the labyrinth is a “Sacred Space” where individuals
may go to contact the realm that lies beyond the grasp of the five senses.
When walking it by foot or coursing its pattern by hand as a method of
meditating, the labyrinth serves as an oracle for gaining intuition and
wisdom and for receiving answers to life’s troubling questions.
